Where is your Studio?

Our studio is located at 2206 Broad St in Cranston, RI in Historic Pawtuxet Village.  The Village is a small bayside town with a few restaurants.  We are conveniently located 5 miles North East of TF Green Airport (PVD)!

Where should we stay?

We recommend either the Nylo Hotel in Warwick RI (website) or the Hampton Inn in Warwick RI (website).  Both hotels will shuttle you to and from the airport and you can usually arrange shuttles to and from our studio (please inquire with them before booking as we cannot guarantee this hotel service will be available).  The Hampton Inn is closer.  The Nylo is a bit more fun and right by Warwick Mall shopping and restaurants.  We are also 15 minutes south of Providence, RI if you want to stay in the city and UBER it over to us!  Also close by:  Newport RI (40 minutes), Boston MA (about an hour), Cape Cod MA (about 90 minutes), and New York City (about 3 hours).

Can beginners attend?

We recommend that you know your camera well and can operate it in comfortably in Manual Mode to get the most out of the workshop.  You do not have to be in business, nor do you need a particular business model to enjoy and benefit from the workshop… but we do talk a lot of business!

Do I need to sell with IPS (In-Person Sales) to benefit?

Nope!  If you are looking to learn more about In-Person Sales, our Online Workshop is a better option for you!

How many attendees will there be?

Not more than 12.

What equipment will we need?

Your camera, a 50mm lens (or 24-70mm or 35mm), and memory cards are a must!

Optional:  Your laptop, other lenses (we use 35mm, 50mm, 105 macro, and occasionally 85mm and 70-200mm in studio), backup battery and charger, camera bag

How much Newborn Posing will we learn?

We will spend about 3 hours of the total workshop time going over newborn posing with 2 babies.  You will learn our newborn posing flow that guarantees us to keep sessions under 3 hours and has helped us to train multiple associate newborn photographers at our studio.  We will cover:

Newborn Safety

Swaddling

Bean Bag flow

Birds Eye Compositions

Bucket Poses

Hammock/Swing/Hanging Poses

 

Will you demonstrate editing?

Not in our 1 day workshop.  If you would like to learn editing, keep an eye out for our 3-day in-person workshops or our Online Workshop in 2018.

 

Will we be able to take images during the demonstrations?

Yes, you will have the opportunity to practice the techniques we will be covering by photographing our models at the workshop.

 

Will we be going outdoors?

Not in our 1 day workshop.

 

Mileage Restriction

Due to the limited number of workshops we will be hosting out of our studio in 2017, Photographers who own and operate a business within 50 miles of 02905 are not eligible to attend at this time.  If you accidentally register, we will gladly refund you.
